aquawater Posted April 17, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2007 Would like to know if anyone has had these rooms and if they heard any noise from people passing by front and back?
pittmann Posted April 23, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2007 Our friends had an inside on the Grand and never had any problems. There cabin was located in the inside hall. The only thing is the hall is wider and the room carts are lined up there in the AM. They said it was very quiet and located close to everthing Enjoy your cruise
aquawater Posted April 26, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted April 26, 2007 Thanks Pittsman. Hopefully it's at least after 6:00 p.m. Once our inside room was beside the steward's water glasses cabinet. Every morning we heard the rattling of glasses. He tried his best to be quiet but I'll always make sure that there are rooms on both sides of us. AZbeachboy Posted April 30, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2007 We were in the ocean view room right across from you. This area has changed the last few years. There were not any inside cabins alnong there. The gallery seems to have been made a bit smaller. It was a wall, hallway the our cabin. We never heard anything from the fine arts gallery. It generally is a pretty quiet area.
scarletandgray Posted April 30, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2007 AZBeachboy: Do you remember if smoke from either the gallery or the grand plaza area was a problem in the outside cabins? We are in a cabin right behind the quiet corner and worry that smoke from people smoking will filter in. Thanks. Lynne

As a mattter of fact, never many people in the gallery. There are two doors that enter that corridor and when we were shown to our cabin they used the one forward and we walked back. They keep that door locked from the plaza side till we were under way. You could leave that way but not enter. Most people during the cruise (that I noticed, as well as we did) continued to use the forward door. Hope this helps.
