FLL to Miami Port

Most Economical = renting a car and driving yourself, but not easy. Did that once, while picking up the car wasn't difficult, the Miami traffic on strange roads definately was.

Easiest = Cab, but not most economical

Taxi's will run you around $50-60 each way.

You can rent a car for alot less, especially if you have a discount code.

You can use a shuttle company for probably $60, but then you have to arrange the shuttles to pick you up, etc.. Not so bad when you are going on the cruise, not so fun afterward when you have to get to the airport, find your specific shuttle driver, etc...

I would compare the cost of a cab, to the extra amount in airfare and see if it's worth a bit more to fly right into MIA. We paid $60pp more to fly into MIA in July for our Fascination cruise, but we would have paid that in taxi fees anyhow, and now we saved the trip.

I think Carnival offers shuttles, but thought I read somewhere that it's only on embarkation morning and at debarkation, so if you go in early, you will still need to find your own transportation.

Good Luck with your decison.

What is the easiest, most economical mode of transportation? FLL is ALOT cheaper than MIA. Any suggestions would be appreciated

The easiest and most economical is Tri County Airport Express shared ride shuttle service for $18 per person.

Tri County Airport Express, the originator of the shared ride transportation concept in South Florida offers this very economical mode of transportation to & from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. They have been providing this exclusive service to both tourists and local residents since 1986 with their fleet of 150 vehicles. Their rates are per person and your wait is a maximum of 30 minutes from the time you and your luggage are curbside. You are allowed 2 suitcases (normal size) and 1 carry on per person before a possible extra fare is charged. Our per person rates are posted at all terminals where our representatives are located - lower level curbside - for your convenience.

When you arrive at the airport, collect your luggage and go outside the baggage claim area, lower level, curbside, contact one of the starters (customer services reps.) wearing a white shirt with "AIRPORT EXPRESS" in red on the back of the shirt and an emblem on the sleeve and over the breast pocket. Let the starter know what service you are interested in and he/she will assist you.
