Staying at the Ramada Airport cruise port hotel

My wife and I are flying in to Ft Lauderdale on May 5th from Alberta Canada. We have seen mixed reviews on this hotel from exelent to terribal. All I want is a clean room. We arrive at 7 pm the day before the cruise. Is there ant shopping and good resturants close by.

You can do a lot better, that hotel brand in SoFla is just terrible......there are no restaurants or shopping nearby, you'll need a cab or car rental to get around. Do not walk anywhere near there after dark. :eek:

I think you better take the good advise from Baquia. We tried this place and it was pretty bad and in a bad area. You can't really walk anywhere and it is not a place you would want to hang around in. It did have a nice pool, but kind of dirty. I would never stay here again. You might try http://www.valuetrips.com for AmeriSuites. It is located in a nice area where you can pick up the trolly and go to the beach for 50 cents and other places you can easily walk to. They also have a free shuttle.
