Is the Sensation a good family choice?

DH and I will be bringing our 8 year old on her first cruise next June and are looking at the 3 day Bahamas cruise on the Sensation. We've been to Nassau several times on the Valor and Fantasy, so we're comfortable with what to do in port and want to be able to spend lots of time showing her all of the fun things to do on the ship as well.

 

Can anyone give us some feedback about the Sensation and how it would be for an intoductory cruise for our daughter? Thanks!

Our family cruise Sensation last August. She'll love the ship, plenty to do, and Camp Carnival she'll enjoy a lot. You won't be disappointed.

The Sensation is a newer sister ship to the Fantasy, so you should have a pretty good idea of the basic layout. We were on her last December and had a great time, very clean, and has had some updates in drydock. She should have a great time.

Our three children 2,5 & 9 loved it! Camp Counslers were great, they begged to stay when it was time to pick them up, and couldn't wait to go back the next morning. Have a great time!

My son was nine when we sailed the Sensation last September, and it was his first cruise. He loved every minute of it, and I'm sure your daughter will too. He liked perusing the Camp Carnival agenda and choosing which activities to participate in. He also loved the arcade - but beware, the games cost a dollar per play, so come prepared.
