sillybutt Posted August 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2004 for past dawn cruisers, gym: do they have tv? or does the treadmills have cd players linked to them? im trying to decide whether or not i should bother bringing my ipod. have anyone ran the track on the ship? did you like/dislike? checking in bags: i got confused with past posts regarding check in. is it right besides the ship? or is it across the street (for some reason i remember reading that). thanks again guys, sillybutt:)
fkwok Posted August 9, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2004 Hi. Can't answer your questions about the gym, but the checkin is inside the pier building on West St and 47th St. People tend to get out of their cabs or get dropped off across the street from the cab b/c to make the u-turn (if you are coming north) takes forever. Its soooooo much faster to just walk across the street and be in the terminal and checked in vs being stuck in traffic. It took us 45 minutes to make the u-turn. Its a 5 minute walk across the street. I hope this answers your question. Have a great cruise.
KarlaC Posted August 9, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2004 The treadmills and the stationary bikes face the televisions on the wall. So it gives you something to watch. The treadmills however do not have a CD player linked to them. If I had an Ipod then I would bring it. It is very compact and would be good to have when laying out or jogging the track... The jogging track was very nice. I tended to use it when we were in port or just leaving port. Once the Dawn gets going it is very windy up there.
