Flowers sent to ship

Can anyone help? My friend is sailing on the Oceana, from Southampton to the Med, and the day she sails just happens to be her 60th Birthday. I would like to have some flowers delivered to her cabin on that day. Is this a possibility? would it be better going through a local florist, or through Interflora. Or is it a bad idea altogether because ...................

Thanks Elaine, that was probably Plan B. I've plenty of time to sort it out as she doesnt cruise until Sept 30th

Regarding flowers I have used a company called Antelope in Southampton a few times. They have always been very good and deliver to the ship so they are in the cabin when you board. If you tell them the duration of the cruise they will ensure the flowers will last. This can all be done over the phone and they are most helpful.
