Problems with cab for two??

My daughter and I will be in Grand Cayman next week, doing the waverunner excursion with Island Marketing. Our tour leaves from the Grand Caymanian resort, so we will have to get a cab out there.

From what I've read, the fare should only be around $12-15. Recently, I also saw a post from someone stating that they had a very difficult time getting a cab for just the two of them to the Grand Caymanian (it's a bit further out, so I guess the cabbies felt it wasn't worth the fare for only 2 passengers??)

That poster ended up paying DOUBLE just to get a cab....anyone else experience this, or have tips that could help us out?

Thanks!
