mandiecandie5 Posted August 10, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2004 I'm exploring the option of visiting one of the resorts on St. Thomas. There are three resorts we are interested in: Ritz, Emerald, Wyndam (mainly because they are the only ones we can find any info on)! Some things we would like to do are lay on a beautiful beach, lay by a pool, snorkle (we have our own equipment), maybe use the spa at one of the resorts if that's even possible??? Anyone have any suggestions or experiences at any of these places? :)
NorfolkSailor Posted August 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2004 I'm familiar with this resort. Nice (man-made) beach and snorkel/wind surfing access. There's a bar between the pool and the beach - drinks are pricey. The resort also has a boat-house where you can rent wind surfing, snorleling, kayaking and other water equipment as well as scuba dives and pleasure-boat trips. The pool is quite nice. Enjoy! It has the Morningstar Beach and the pool bar at the Frechmans Reef makes the best bushwackers!
Starz723 Posted August 13, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2004 May I suggest Secret Harbour. All suite resort. This place looks awesome and it was recommended to me by the Capt of the Winifred and her first mate. Nothing like getting a recommendation from people that actually live on St Thomas. They said the bar, restaurant and beach was excellent. I was asking them for great places to stay in St Thomas with good snorkeling, nice rooms, great beach, best bang for your buck. Check it out: It has virtual reality tours. I did some research and it gets great reviews from former guests. They have a deal book 5 nights get one night free. Im booking it for next July. mandiecandie5 Posted August 24, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted August 24, 2004 The Secret Harbor resort looks really great! Something away from the crowded areas. I wonder if anyone else has been here???
nanaj2 Posted August 24, 2004 #6 Share Posted August 24, 2004 When are you planning on being in St. Thomas? DH and I are staying a week in early October...staying at the Wyndham Sugar Bay. Would be happy to report back upon our return if you haven't decided by then. We also like to snorkel and I understand you can do it there. Also will be doing a Fantasy Daysail with Pam and Brian.
