We were in 5270 a year a go.

Loved it.

There may be a little more usable room on the balcony but the main thing is the experience of an aft facing cabin which you'll either love or hate.

From what I experienced, about the only issues about which anyone could complain (and I am not complaining about them) is

  1. Sounds like you're next to a waterfall.
  2. You'll have to keep the curtains closed in the afternoon in Mazatlan and Cabo.
  3. As I've mentioned in previous posts, the ship "whipsaws" when the skipper drivers her hard, which he'll do on the run back from Cabo. Feels like light turbulance on a jet.
  4. There's a lot more opportunities for a peeping-tom.

As you can see from the pix, there's room enough for three generations.

As for Carnival Pride in general, you'll see this thread attract the usual suspects raving about how great she is. The worst thing about her is that watching her sail every Sunday afternoon on the Long Beach webcam.

Our aft balcony on the Pride in '06 was the worst of our five aft balconies. And actually pretty crummy for a balcony period. We loved the Pride but will not sail in an aft cabin on the Spirit class again. Our best aft balcony was on the Explorer of the Seas. It was one of the four large balconies on the corners that you see that have the large cutouts in the hull. Amazing side and rearward views.
