Tabby98 Posted May 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2007 Hey Everyone, My friend and I are going on the Enchantment of the Seas December 15th-20th and one of the stops is in Costa Maya. I need some ideas on things to do and the best beaches to go to :) We saw one excursion that costs $40 a person and its for Jungle Beach. Has anyone been here or heard of it. Apparently the $40 includes all day at the beach, a beach chair, Open bar and paddle boats (limited number). We were thinking about this, but I dont know. This is only our second cruise, so I'm fairly new at this. Any suggestion, ideas, tips would be greatly appreciated :)
angeluv Posted May 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2007 well i went to tequila beach and the other beaches in the fishing village of mahahual are right down the road and they all seem to be surrounded by the jungle..so im not sure if there actually is a beach called "jungle beach" or if its just a beach in the jungle
bigasufan Posted May 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2007 I've been to the beach break. They take you on a long bus ride through the jungle. It's ok, but a long ride. I've also been to Pez Quadro in the village, just a short taxi ride. It is much better to go to.

Well at least according to the Royal Caribbean website it is. Its listed as an exercusion. Like I said, I have no idea about this area or what would be best to do. Last year we went to Nassau and just shopped and then off to Coco cay the next day and that just RC's own little island, so there wasnt much planning to do. We just want to go where we would have a good time :) Thanks for the replies...
Chronic Observer Posted May 29, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2007 We were there last week, (1st time) and found it to be the highlight of our cruise. Pez Quatro (sp) was where we ended up and it was very relaxing. $3 beers and $5 margaritas made it cheap, chairs were complimentary and shade was available. The bartenders were very nice and informative. The asst. cruise director, comedian, dancers and several bartenders from our ship were enjoying their day off here. The town is very small and undeveloped. I just might have been there on a good day, but I was most comfortable and at ease while here. From Tequilia Beach to Pez is about 200 or so yards of undeveloped beachfront nestled with small beachfront bars along a sand road. We had a blast and so will you. Enjoy! Think relaxing in unspoiled paradise.:)
