T-ANN Posted November 5, 2007 #1001 Share Posted November 5, 2007 Thanks for the info...I had an inside room on my last cruise and I kind of liked the dark room, I will take a night light this next time around though and an alarm clock...your out of sorts in the morning when you get up not being able to tell whether it day or night. I understand that the New Years party is fabulous... Can't wait 56 days and counting down.:)
kansas kruiser Posted November 5, 2007 #1002 Share Posted November 5, 2007  In August, had cabin 6409 just down the hall I thought it was a very good location, 1 floor down to shops, casino, lounges, etc, 2 floors up to the lido deck. Would stay there again.:)

Did you hear anything during your week?

Thanks in advance.Tiffany http://travel.webshots.com/album/560603915bKWCMD?start=0 Tiffany- dont hold what you read on the capers as being the way it is- I saw capers from June/July that were completly different from when we sailed. Use them as guidelines only. Especially with the kids camp papers. your kids will be in two different camps. 9-11 and 12-14 Make sure your 13 year old heads to the teen meet the first night.. make it mandatory if you have to. Your 9 year old will be very busy.

Wild Bill Posted November 5, 2007 #1011 Share Posted November 5, 2007 Sorry if this is a stupid question, but... If you use your cell phone in Florida, while on the ship in port, do you get charged the fee of $2.49 a minute, (or what ever it is,) or is it just like if you were standing anywhere in Florida? I'm not sure if the ship charges you extra to use their cell tower or not. Thanks! KT

It is a charge by the cruiselines to use their towers. it is not a standard charge- your best bet is to wait til you are docked and on the islands. To see some reviews may I suggest you go to the top of the carnival page and click on SEARCH- type in Cell phone charges while at sea.

KT I used my cell phone while in Emile's the day we left in Fort Lauderdale, breakfast in Emile's while in Key West, and again in Emile's while waiting to disembark. My cell phone is through AT&T and I was never charged any extra fees. I thought I would get charged the extra, but I didn't.
Calyn2323 Posted November 11, 2007 #1017 Share Posted November 11, 2007 Hi everyone I was hoping someone could answer this question. If you have an early flight out of FLL, and ask for early debark. will they always give you an early #? We sailed The Liberty back in Aug and were #16 and we were at the hotel by 9:20. We had no worries about making a flight. This time we can get a much better price if we take the 10:10 flight. I have a feeling it’s a little too early and we will probably go with the 12:00 flight. I just know it was so easy getting off.

Yes, just go to the Pursers desk with a copy of your early flight itenerary and you will be given the first number to be called after self disembark. ATLCanuck Posted November 14, 2007 #1023 Share Posted November 14, 2007 Greetings from dry & dusty ATL - guess Governor Perdue's prayer vigil for rain did not quite do the trick!! Not yet anyway :D ! I am trying to book dinner at Harry's - prefer not to book same night as Captain's Dinner and/or Lobster night. Read on other post that formal nights are Sun. & Fri. - probably would not book Harry's then either. Does anyone know which night include lobster dinner - one of the formal nights? Also, which night is the Captains dinner/cocktail party? Thanks a bunch.......Michelle

mom2NnB Posted November 14, 2007 #1025 Share Posted November 14, 2007 Our first cruise is finally here on Sunday. YAY!!! We plan to get on early and grab some food. Then what? What should we do first? Look around and take pics?, check out table?, get Travelers Checks cashed at Pursers? I know there is no "you have to" but what is the one thing that the kids will be amazed about? I want that big "WOW!" moment.
