Carnival Liberty Thread - All The Info You Need Is In Here

Hi everyone

I was hoping someone could answer this question. If you have an early flight out of FLL, and ask for early debark. will they always give you an early #?

We sailed The Liberty back in Aug and were #16 and we were at the hotel by 9:20. We had no worries about making a flight. This time we can get a much better price if we take the 10:10 flight. I have a feeling it’s a little too early and we will probably go with the 12:00 flight. I just know it was so easy getting off.

I would think that 10:10 would be early, based on my one experience last Saturday - the ship was late due to a medical emergency (returned to Jamaica and lost 4 hours) and we were having breakfast in the dining room at 7:30 and still coming into port. They did not call number 1 until about 9:15, we were number 7 and were called at 10am.

I know you never know what could happen. My husband told me that if I am going to be a basket case and worry about the flight home the whole trip, that I should just book the later flight. So I did, we booked the 11:50.

Thank for everyones help

Our first cruise is finally here on Sunday. YAY!!!

We plan to get on early and grab some food. Then what? What should we do first? Look around and take pics?, check out table?, get Travelers Checks cashed at Pursers?

I know there is no "you have to" but what is the one thing that the kids will be amazed about? I want that big "WOW!" moment.

I know what you mean about the WOW moment! :)

I think the best thing you can do BEFORE you even go to your cabin is just to go down to the lowest deck of the atrium and let them look up. I think those are the "wow" places on Carnival ships.

Greetings from dry & dusty ATL - guess Governor Perdue's prayer vigil for rain did not quite do the trick!! Not yet anyway :D !

I am trying to book dinner at Harry's - prefer not to book same night as Captain's Dinner and/or Lobster night.

Read on other post that formal nights are Sun. & Fri. - probably would not book Harry's then either.

Does anyone know which night include lobster dinner - one of the formal nights?

Also, which night is the Captains dinner/cocktail party?

Thanks a bunch.......Michelle

We went to Harry's on Tuesday Night. It was totally worth the 30.00pp. I loved the people and the of course the food is to die for.

My DH always drank hot chocolate after dinner (not a coffee drinker) so at Harry's he ask for hot chocolate. They looked at him funny but it appeared.

Funny thing is wednesday night LUBO, our waiter, said the person from Harry's came down last night to get hot chocolate for my husband. We all just laughed.

 In August, had cabin 6409 just down the hall I thought it was a very good location, 1 floor down to shops, casino, lounges, etc, 2 floors up to the lido deck. Would stay there again.:)

Hi, We'll be in cabin 6411 in January. You liked this room for location. How about for sleeping, was it quiet? I am worried it might be noisy from the location-being over the Promenade. Tell me more... Thank you, Jean P.S. My mother-in-law was from Emmett, Kansas. Anywhere near you?

Thx. Caribbean Dreams - I was kinda thinking all three of those "dinners" might be combined - formal night, captains dinner & lobster. Thx. again......Michelle

the first formal night is when you get to meet the captain and is when they serve lobster- you are correct that all three are combined into one evening

Is the aft pool adults only? We're trying to plan our roll call meet and greet but some have kids. If so, is it just the pool that is adults only or is the whole area off limits to kids? I know on the 2 Spirit Class ships I've been on the pool was adults only but kids could still be in the area. Would there be a better place for our meet and greet?

Kids are welcome in the aft pool area.

Have a great cruise, the Liberty is a beautiful ship.:)

We had out Liberty M&G at the wine bar, the arcade is across the hall so the kids could go play while the parents chatted.

It is suppose to be but with as many kids on our cruise they were everywhere. I didnt swim at all on this cruise. It stated on the aft hot tubs adult only but no one adhered to it.

I gues it all depends on who you talk to as to which is adult only but I DID read a sign on the aft hot tubs looking over the aft pool that said ADULT ONLY. Your cruise shouldn't have many kids so I am sure the rules will be followed. We cruised during Thanksgiving and it was FULL of kids (all were well behaved).

Thanks for all of the great info! Found site for first time yesterday.

Is there somewhere where I can find copies of the menus for our 12/22/07 sailing? Will a traditional Christmas meal be served on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Does anyone know the day of the Formal nights? Captains cocktail hour? past guest reception? Will the ship have any special activities for the holiday?

yes-- on the main carnival baord click on search and type in dining room menu

there will be added items to the menu for xmas day.

captains coctail party will be held the first formal night--which may be different for your sailing compared to the other sailings

past guest party is always different depending on how many past guest onboard. I have seen them be on a night right before dinner., have seen one "during" early dinner time and even once during a port day. (that sucked)

please check out http://cruiseclues.com/shipstips/carnivalliberty.htm

Only remember what you see might not be what you have on your sailing. nothing is set in stone from week to week
