WDW AFTER cruise

I realize that most people take the cruise AFTER WDW, but our schedule was such that we are going to do the cruise first and then go to WDW after. I know that you can check in ONCE if you do WDW first, but does it work the other way as well? In other words, will we be able to avoid checking in at our WDW resort and be able to use the same key, once we have checked in for the DCL?

While it isnt an amenity I have heard of before it would be nice...we did WDW after our cruise and this wasn't an advertised perk...but it could have been there and we just didnt ask

if you book it as a sea/land package your key to the world card is the same for your cruise as your hotel and parks, one check in, booked seperately two check ins
