Royal promenade Question

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have never sailed Royal Caribbean before, i have a quick question. Is the Royal Promenade on the Liberty/Freedom the same size as the Voyager class ships ? (Mariner to be exact). It looks like the Freedom/Liberty are wider ships so I didnt know if that reflected in the size or layout of the promenade. Reason I ask is that I was leaning towards a Christmas cruise on the Freedom, but the Mariner looks like it will be less expensive.

Also other than the flowrider and water park are there other major differences between Freedom-Voyager class ?.

Thanks again.

I have done Mariner and Freedom, if money is not object I would do Freedom, we loved her. Freedom is longer and has a few more stores. Mariner is a nice ship, and you will have a great time no matter which you choose. We loved the way Freedom was decorated and the size of her. We are doing Liberty in the fall and can't wait.

At our "repeat passengers" parties on the past several cruises, the staff has been asked this question and we were told the Promenade is approximately 15% bigger on Liberty/Freedom than on the Voyager class ships.

From what I've heard people prefer the shops/restaurants/bars on the freedom classes. One huge difference is the pool deck on Freedom is 45% larger (apparently). In your case I wouldn.t judge the ship but, the itinary and the times
