Questions for Spring 2007 Panama Canal cruisers

What did you do while in port in Cartagena, Columbia and San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua? There have been no shore excursions shown on Princess excursion site since I booked our January 2008 cruise, so we have no idea what we should plan on seeing in these two ports. We are taking this cruise because our grandchild goes to a Spanish Immersion school and we are interested in the culture of the Central American countries. None of the Spanish teachers at the school are from these 2 areas so they can't advise us. Thanks for any information on your experiences.
