Hotel Canal, Venice

Recommended Posts

:) We are seriously considering this 3 star hotel for a pre cruise stay.

Has anyone stayed there with comments to share.

We would like a double room with a canal view. Their website shows a second floor center room with french style doors opening onto a small veranda. Any info on this room?

Does it have a lift?

Any other recommendations or comments will be welcomed

Thanks

We stayed there for two nights in 2005. It is a nice, clean three star hotel. There are two small bridges between there and Piazza Rialto. It's a short walk. There is no lift but we managed. We had a view of the side canal so I can't comment on the room you are looking at. Our room was small but adequate. We didn't spend much time in it.

The staff were friendly and gave helpful advice. There aren't a lot of good restaurants nearby.

We were back in Venice last year. Hotel Canal was booked so we stayed closer to San Marco which was more expensive but still good.

It was less expensive than most Venice hotels.
