St. Thomas tour

In St.Thomas we took a tour with Godfrey tours and we really enjoyed it. Godfrey met us at the pier and took us to the shopping area. There are some major stores and also some small tents set up by merchants on the side of the road and we found some really good deals there. Be sure to bargain with them! If you are looking for souvenirs to take home to friends, this would be a good place to stop. Godfrey only gives you 3 hours to shop if you come at 9am. There is a coffee shop down the street and Bumpas was a good place to grab a snack or cold drink and it has a great view of the beach. Godfrey picked us up at noon and told us up the mountain (the highest point on St. Thomas) to a shopping mall with the most beautiful view. It was incredible! They also serve a delicious banana daiquiri-which they advertise as the best on the island. We stopped at Sir Frances Drake Seat and another spot with a beautiful view of the island. Around 2pm Godfrey took us to Sapphire Beach or Magen’s Beach, which ever one you chose. We went to Sapphire beach and the water was so clear and calm…it was amazing! Little fish swam around our feet. The beach had trees on it and chairs to sit in if you did not want to get in the sun. They are also cooking hamburgers and other meats on the grill on the beach. There were restrooms so you could change if you did not want to wear your swim suit all day. We were picked up at 4pm and taken back to the pier. St. Thomas is a place that I would love to visit again. If you want to take this tour, you can go to Godfrey’s website at www.godfreytoursvi.com. You will not be disappointed, because the cost is only $25.00 per person.

I am planning to book Godfrey for our day in September. Glad to hear about the restrooms at Sapphire Beach, since that would be my choice beach to go to. Thanks again for the information.
