bguppies Posted August 7, 2007 #30 Share Posted August 7, 2007 Good detailed review.... Just one suggestion for you, as it pertains to Nassau. You need to get away from Bay Street and the Straw Market which are right next to the Welcome Center and the Pier. (this is by far the worst part of Nassau IMO) Needless to say, the people and shops there are just trying to get the cash from the lazy cruisers who don't walk more than a few hundred yards from the pier. Take a look at this thread from the Nassau message board in here. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=332656 There are tons of great things and places to see in Nassau, away from Bay Street and other than Atlantis. (which to me, you might as well just go to Vegas. Same experience, just more overpriced. Unless a tiny cup of Macaroni and cheese sells for $12 in your area.) The Queen's Staricase and the view from Fort Fincastle, above it, are not to be missed. Bill
Lv2Camp&Cruise Posted August 7, 2007 #31 Share Posted August 7, 2007 Great review! Glad you won some money in the casino. Be prepared though not to have that beginner's luck next time. My first Carnaval cruise, I won $300.00 playing bingo. I sure haven't won a dime since then. Your review was very detailed, interesting, and balanced. Great job!
