vernfonzndrian Posted June 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2007 What would you choose? I found a decent deal on both of these, and cant decide which to go with. One is a six day the other is a 7 day with similar ports. I am a 1st time cruiser with a family of 4 . 2 children ages 3 & 6. Which would you go with? Please No FLAMES! I know theyre two different lines. Thank You! Veronica
manunch Posted June 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2007 Not sure about Elation, but we did our 1st cruise last year on Vision to Mexico. It was for our honeymoon and we had a great time. My DH was convinced he would hate cruising, we are both now totally hooked. Hope you have a great time what you choose.
mgm3430 Posted June 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2007 I've been on the mexico cruises from CA and I went on the Elation the last time. I loved it. They have Camp Carnival for the kids. Carnival is very laid back which I like. That's my opinion. Have a great trip! Gwyn
sira3 Posted June 9, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2007 I have been on the Elation twice and loved it both times.
clackey Posted June 9, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2007 I would pick VOS, but it is because I've sailed the Elation 3 times. Had great trip each time. We have done only 1 RCI cruise and it was on the Splendour of the Seas. Very nice ship and possibly the most laid back, relaxing cruise so far. Never had a bad cruise so toss a coin. Happy ks Posted June 9, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2007 Vision also has a kids club, almost all cruise lines do. We cruised on Vision this past Christmas and had a lovely time. I've only cruised Carnival once and it wasn't for us, but it's not the largest cruise company by accident. I'd go for the longer cruise.
