Just curious Liesje tip-away! if you want to show your "humble appreciation"...i'd do it. i HAVE done it. but it's always nice to do it discreetly (to address your bribe concern). like i would come back later in the evening when there aren't many people in the area. i bring small envelopes with me. or i stick the money in my palm and offer a handshake...quite "Soprano"-like, if you ask me...hehehehehhhehehe
shoreguy Posted June 16, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2007 Hi all, Is it common to tip the person that makes your dinner reservations or will this be seen as a bribe? Just curious Liesje Call it what you want :D If the person that makes your dinner reservations is the conseirge the answer is yes for sure. If you are talking about the folks that work the desk during the day I never considered it. Now if they go the extra mile, call the restaurant when it appears full, and manages to get you in I would consider it.
