S1drfl Posted June 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2007 For anyone on the Splendour recently, Dubrovnik itinerary: How many formal nights? (I'm guessing 2) How many informal nights? (Sorry, I'm new to RCI, I don't even know if they do informal nights) And, finally, any fancy dress nights - toga, masquerade, etc. Thanks for your help. Jiffymom Posted June 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2007 I was just on SOS Inside Passage( Two weeks ago) Two formal nights. Second night and fifth nigh. The other nights most were dressed casual. LADIES SLACKS AND MEN DOCKER TYPE PANTS. I was amazed to see how many were wearing jeans. Although I must say the dressy type but many were more casual than other cruises I have been on. Maybe because it is Alaska. The majority looked very nice with a nice sweater and jeans. No theme nights but will say the entertainment and adult games were lots of fun. Be sure and see battle of the sexes and the quest. Lots of laughs. Food was great and of course so were the drinks. : ) I really enjoyed the hot chocolate on Hubbard Glacier day. We had a balcony cabin although we spent most of our morning walking out on the helipad to view the glacier. Have fun. Also we did pay the extra to go to the Mystery dinner. It was lots of fun. Sign up early. Hope I answered your questions.
S1drfl Posted June 24, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted June 24, 2007 Thanks, Jiffymom, but I think we may be talking about different ships and itineraries. Serenade is currently plying Alaskan waters. Splendour is doing week-longs out of Venice. My question is about the Splendour. But you nicely make my point - how different itineraries can influence dress. Thanks.
