Clothing Question

Traveling on the Diamond Princess on July 14 Whittier to Vancouver.

I know the style of clothing we're taking for shore excursions and for the cruise. (I know we'll be layering!)

Just would like to know whether to take summer weight, winter weight or all season weight clothes for evenings on the ship.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

If you will just be going to dinner and the shows you can dress as you would on any other cruise as the weather will not really affect you (no extra jacket at all). If however you will be going out on deck even the outside side decks the wind will make it cold fast. For standing on the front of the ship to view the wildlife or just to enjoy the scenery it will be very cold (heavy jacket was not over kill).
