Does anyone know what type of background checks are required or performed on childcare staff? We are traveling on the Mariner in September with our seven year old. Rare VernRDH Posted June 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2007 I don't know about background checks, but I do know that all the AO staff are required to have a bachelors degree in education/early childhood etc. We have found most of the AO staff is Canadian, British, or American. We have never had any problems with staff and have found them to be wonderful with the kids. I have no qualms about leaving my DD in Adventure Ocean, she is 7 and has always enjoyed it.
