Which ship to Bermuda?

I've been trying to decide between the Norwegian Crown and Royal Caribbean's Empress of the Seas for my September trip to Bermuda.

 

The itineraries, prices, and departure ports (Manhattan and Bayonne, respectively) are essentially identical.

 

Can anyone with experience - hopefully on both ships/class of ships - offer a recommendation, comments, or pictures?

 

The most important things are:

1. The room (NCL's are larger and appear to be better appointed, judging solely by the website's photos).

2. Ship ambience.

3. Food.
