EmmaJean Posted June 27, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2007 When is the best time to purchase a New England cruise? We just came back from our first cruise and now we are thinking of our next one...probably for fall 2008 to New England...maybe out of New York We want to find a great deal, of course. We just sailed with Princess, and I noticed that this year's fall cruises are cheaper than the ones for next year. Is it best to wait until they have finished this season before looking for next season? Thanks
Host Caroline Posted June 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2007 We booked Sea Princess for Oct 08 on our recent cruise and took advantage of the $100 deposit.. it's 10 night from Quebec to New York.. Lots of great ports.. these cruises are very popular and a short season. If you don't have to worry about airfare and can go on relatively short notice, no issues with type of cabin and where it is, you can get a good deal next year but if you want to pick and choose I'd do before too far into the fall.. it's going to be chillier in mid-Oct so we just took an oceanview guarantee and are not shelling out for a balcony. One reason rates appear to be so high is the dang port charges.. somethign like 425pp .. there are 8 ports but still:rolleyes: :(
