CTsang Posted June 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2007 I received my eDocs for my 7/29/07 cruise about 3 weeks ago. I was able to register and print my luggage tags. I received a welcome booklet in the mail yesterday with registration information, excursion information and luggage tags. Was I supposed to receive both? I thought NCL was going to a paperless eDoc system.
Jiminkcmo Posted June 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2007 CTsang: I believe they will stay with snail-mail for luggage tags as print it yourself would result in some pretty flimsy tags. I haven't received anything yet email wise for an 8/12 Alaska but yesterday received the luggage tags and excursion stuff in the mail

Yes you were - in fact the package you got yesterday should in the future come first. http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/pressroom/pressRelease.html?storyCode=PR_042607 In advance of the e-documents, travel partners or guests with paid reservations will receive a new pre-documentation Freestyle Cruising Kit in the mail approximately 75 to 21 days prior to their scheduled sailing. This kit includes a personalized welcome letter, NCL’s welcome aboard booklet that answers questions they may have prior to their cruise, a shore excursion order form and booklet, personalized luggage tags and travel protection plan details, if applicable. trish1c Posted June 29, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2007 I was skeptical too but you print them out on 8.5x11 sheet of paper & fold it over a whole bunch ot times until it's about one inch wide then wrap it around your luggage handle & staple the ends. It wasn't bad.
noenre Posted June 30, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 30, 2007 I received my eDocs for my 7/29/07 cruise about 3 weeks ago. I was able to register and print my luggage tags. I received a welcome booklet in the mail yesterday with registration information, excursion information and luggage tags. Was I supposed to receive both? I thought NCL was going to a paperless eDoc system. I got my e-docs on June 3rd and actually called to request "real" luggage tags. I never received them though. I am just concerned that traveling with kids, the paper tags will rip off. What the previos poster said is a great idea. I will just fold the paper a lot, or use card stock to print them. Jiminkcmo Posted June 30, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 30, 2007 noenre: You could also put the flimsy paper printout tags in plastic laminating stuff and make them into plastic tags. That would be much more substantial. Jim
