GBeret Posted June 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2007 I have always been in the dinning room (1st Seating) on Formal nights. I'm quite happy with the menu and sevice there. I seldom use the speciality places on the ship. I have always found that no matter what the main suggested dishes are on the menu, one can order almost anything one desires, within reason. I also have usually formed sort of a bond, with our regular waiters and they provide those little extras I use at dinner time without asking. (Always bringing some Tabasco, for my soup.) :D
tvaud Posted July 1, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 1, 2007 Are Formal Nights better done in the dining room, or one of the specialty restaurants? Any thoughts?:) I'd save the specialty restaurants for the non formal nights. On formal nights, the main dining rooms tend to pull out the stops with lobster, prime rib, escargot, et al.:)
Pam in CA Posted July 1, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2007 Formal nights tend to have really great menus so I'd save the specialty restaurant for a non-formal night. On the other hand, you will probably have better luck getting a reservation for a time you want on formal nights. It's really up to you and what you enjoy eating.
