Toss Up Or No Contest

We have a 10 year old daughter cruising with us November 25 out of Galveston on Conquest. One of our ports is Jamaica. We can't decide which resort to go to--Sunset Beach VS Rose Hall. We have read good and bad on both on CC. Ths is our second cruise and I've been told by various avenues to not go on an excusion unless is it Carnival sponsored. Sunset Beach is not. Rose Hall is. I've also talked to many people that have taken non Carnival sponsored excursions and they have had no problems at all. So I'm leaving it up to you...Your thoughts please. And, if you have any pictures I would certainly enjoy them. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

Jim- I am going to Jamaica in Sept and had planned to go to Rose Hall beach club based on Frommers recommendation but when I checked their website it says there will be construction going on through Nov. and to expect construction "noise." We decided to go to Dr.s Cave Beach instead because depending on how much "noise" there is it may not be a relaxing day. Hope this helps.
