DrJJ Posted July 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2007 Does NCL ever allow passengers to tour ships' non-public areas (bridge, engineering, kitchen, etc.)?
JACruiser Posted July 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2007 Unfortunately due to security post-9/11, NCL no longer offers tours of these areas. On some ships, though, the captain gives a talk the first night about all these areas with a slide show that is really interesting. Check it out if this kind of stuff interests you! :)

They also had a tour for the first 25 who signed on one of the days we were in port.

We just happened to be walking by the gathering point and they asked us if we wanted to go.

If not, where did you hear about the offer for the first 25 people signed up?
shoreguy Posted July 2, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 2, 2007 For the most part tours of the non public area do not exist anymore. There are exceptions for a select few. Galley and Bridge tours used to be a Latitudes perk pre 9/11 On the Dawn the CD Jimmy shot a series of tapes that play during the week on TV. They are great. Detailed tours of the bridge, galley, engine rooms, crew areas.

Cubechick Posted July 2, 2007 #8 Share Posted July 2, 2007 When we were on the Majesty in June, the bridge tours were offered two separate days, w/ two tours on each day (I THINK it was Wednesday and Thursday). All was posted in the Freestyle Daily. Cube
