JKrise Posted July 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2007 Has anyone ever used Spicelands Horse Ranch for and early morning south beach horse ride? If so was it fun? Worth the money? $65-70 p.p.? Any info?
seafeet Posted July 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2007 When we were there a few years ago we did the Spicelands Ride on the beach. It was enjoyable. The horses know their way around and the tour leaders help out those who've never ridden before and make sure they have a good ride. The price, I feel, is worth it for the number one reason...they take good care of their horses. They're kept clean, well fed and watered and not worked to the point of exhaustion. gonnatrycruisin' Posted July 3, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 3, 2007 Do we need to make reservations ahead of time to ride, or can we just show up?

momhas2boys Posted July 5, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 5, 2007 They have a website if you google them (Spiceland Ridng Center), it will come up and make sure you book early. We got stuck with a fairly last choice time and we booked over a month before our cruise. Blessings!
sunshine252 Posted July 5, 2007 #8 Share Posted July 5, 2007 I've already gotten ours booked, thankfully. How was the ride and how difficult was it to get there? Thanks for your info! Sunshine
sparlkes Posted July 5, 2007 #9 Share Posted July 5, 2007 We booked our ride for later this month. Does anyone know if we need to wear long pants? Also, how long does it take to get there from the Dockyard? We will be taking the bus from the Dockyard. Thanks!
sunshine252 Posted July 5, 2007 #10 Share Posted July 5, 2007 I don't know how long it takes from there, but I do know that we'll be wearing long pants to ride. I don't think they require them but I've ridden without them before & being pinched by the saddle hurts! However, we will be wearing our sturdy sneakers instead of riding boots. I don't have enough room to pack everything but I'm not walking around horses in sandals... Sunshine
