jslamont Posted July 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2007 Has anyone ever used the sorrentolimo.com tour in Naples. It looks very good and I was wondering if they were legit. Thanks
hylasgirl Posted July 5, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2007 I am not sure about that one, but http://www.seesorrento.com is a good one. I have had a few friends use him and he comes highly recommended by most. Naples is a great port... We have been there twice. We went to Pompeii the first time, incredible!!! And then we also spent time both times we went in Sorrento. It is a perfect Italian city by the ocean. It is one of our favorite ports. Have a great time. Definitely get a private driver for this port, you will want to see some of the Amalfi coast, and Pompeii... The towns of Positano and Sorrento are adorable. You do NOT want to spend this great day on a tour bus with 50 others that you are waiting for half the time. Have a blast!
ISABELLA Posted July 5, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2007 If this is your first time in Naples, I will recommend to take hydrofoil, which stop is next to the pier, to Capri and spend the day there. It' just spectacular island.
jslamont Posted July 5, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted July 5, 2007 I will check out both options. I wish we had time to do it all. This is my first cruise and there seems to be so much to plan for. Thanks again.

Alison Wonderland Posted July 6, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 6, 2007 We took a tour with Saverio from Benvenuto Limos during our Naples port call. He is from Sorrento and really knows the Amalfi Coast. His love of the area really enhanced the day because he is so eager to share its beauty with visitors. We visited Positano which should not be missed - it is spectacular. We lunched in Sorrento (also beautiful) before visiting Pompeii in the afternoon with an excellent private guide, Libbe, whose services were arranged by Save. Next trip we will go to Capri! :) Their website is http://www.benvenutolimos.com

leighuf Posted July 6, 2007 #8 Share Posted July 6, 2007 I did Pompeii and Sorrento on my own by using the hydrofoil and train. It was a wonderful day. My tablemates used seesorrento and came back raving.
ltgov Posted July 6, 2007 #9 Share Posted July 6, 2007 We booked Roberto from DriveAmalfi (*****). Roberto was the best tour guide, very passionate about the area. He took us on the Amalfi coast (breath taking) with lunch at a local restaurant away from tourists (immaculate with the best Italian food and a marvelous view) and then to Pompeii. KATHYANN Posted August 7, 2007 #10 Share Posted August 7, 2007 On our Princess Greek Isles tour we will be in Naples for the day. We were fortunate enough to go to Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast on a prior trip. We have never been to Capri. Is it worth the time? How easy is it to get to the hydrofoil? How long does it take to get to Capri? While we were in Sorrento we had planned a trip to Capri but due to weather they could not guarantee they would be able to get us back from Capri to Sorrento. This being said, I am a little nervous about going. But I do not know of anything else to do in Naples. Any suggestions? Oh by the way, we did visit the museum in Naples. Thanks for any suggestions.
