lizaj1 Posted July 7, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2007 We have sailed several times with RCI and really like it. Usually we go to the EC and Bermuda, but we want to try new places. We have also sailed on the mega ships and the Empress. Loved both. We are now looking for good value and a relaxed experience on a beautiful ship. Don't want crowds or lots of children. The Grandeur is convenient out of Norfolk, but we are concerned that it hasn't been refurbished recently. Does anyone have a recent experience with GOS? The RCI website doesn't list Cafe Lattitudes or Ben and Jerry's. Have sailed with Princess and Celebrity, but our perks with RCI are pretty good and I hate to jump ship. Prices on Princess seem almost too good and Celebrity is just not as much fun as RCI. Thanks in advance for your help and advice!

Granduer had a fairly quick refurb this spring just before she relocated to Baltimore for the summer. Tanker

lori450 Posted July 7, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 7, 2007 Try the Enchantment or try any ship you'd like, just pick off season. Begining or middle of Sept or beginning or middle of Dec
kruznmike Posted July 7, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 7, 2007 We were on the Granduer in Feb. before the refurb. There was Ben & Jerry's and I believe Lattitudes. There was no Johnny Rockets or specialty resturants. This was a wonderful ship and things can only be better since the refurb.:)

wraithe Posted July 7, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 7, 2007 Been on Grandeur, Mariner and Radiance, and I've got three upcoming cruises scheduled on Grandeur. I think she's a great ship, and I can't wait to be back onboard.
