C&F Posted July 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2007 Hey Wayne, I'm on the Crown with you as well this weekend. You can bring wine on no problem. In regards to beer, I have heard mixed answers. Some have gotten it on in carry on luggage, some have gotten it on checked luggage. I don't know as I've never tried with beer. My bottle of rum that was in my checked luggage last year went through fine (well packed). I also had 4 bottles of wine in my carry on no problem. I am just leaving it all this time and will try to get it through at ports. Our luggage is jam packed as it is. (OK, maybe just a bottle of Absolut in the checked luggage, wink, wink). See ya soon, F
-=STeVeO=- Posted July 12, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 12, 2007 Depending on how ur checked luggage is handled you could be opening up some sprayin suds lol.
tonimari99 Posted July 12, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2007 I'm on with you too! I am flying there and wondering about checked luggage. Do i need to check on bottles due to airport restrictions? Does enyone know about beer served on the ship? Is it bottles or cans? Thanks!!
Sandytoes Posted July 13, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2007 I packed my DH's favorite beer. Rolled paper bags and tissue paper around them. When they arrived at the cabin, started to unpack, one of the bottles broke, 2 of my tops wet with beer. I just rinsed them off and hung them out on the balcony to dry. If you do bring beer or wine, wrap them carefully.
