LHP Posted September 20, 2008 #51 Share Posted September 20, 2008 Just curious how long The Platinum perks have been in effect? Thanks! A~ Since February 2006. They did a rollout in January 2006 (and tried to keep it quiet, yea right with CC around!!). Our family of four were all Platinum before the program started. We got our first Platinum card on the Spirit in July 2005 and had NO CLUE what the deal was. There were no official benefits attached to it at that time. jetskier Posted September 20, 2008 #52 Share Posted September 20, 2008 Are they still passing out the thermos as your platinum gift?..I already have a couple and am sailing 4 weeks from today on the Spirit...The stationary is great for writing letters to Carnival, my DW used it once and got a prompt response...........Dennis Yes it is still a thermos. The way I look at it, is they are providing the container for me to smuggle the booze back onboard with the next time. Norman, On your 25th Carnival cruise you would get an OBC equal to 25% of the cruise fare. On your 50th cruise, you would get an OBC equal to 50% of the cruise fare. On your 75th cruise, you would get an OBC equal to 75% of the cruise fare. On your 100th cruise, you would get to choose what cruise you would like to take up to 8 days to the Caribbean, Mex Riveria or Alaska. southbayer Posted September 21, 2008 #53 Share Posted September 21, 2008 100 cruises..... A milestone that nobody would get to.... OK, I know that one person out there will have heard of someone.... But for all intents and purposes, nobody will get that free cruise. They might as well make it 50 cruises..
