shortstop95 Posted August 25, 2004 #26 Share Posted August 25, 2004 Shortstop,We upgraded at the pier in Bayonne in July on the Voyager. We had an E1, checked in on the line for our assigned deck, got our seapasses. We mentioned we'd like to upgrade and were sent to the Pier Coordinator who was in the center of the counter area. We arrived at 10:30 tho we were told in our docs not to come until 2:30 for a 5PM sailaway. At 10:30, there were 3-4 junior suites available. We were shown the deck layout and asked if any of those cabins were ok. There was one on the hump, midship which we knew from the boards would be bigger, cost was $400 for the upgrade. We took that one, new seapasses were made up, were given a numbered ticket for the shuttle bus(all this took 20 mins). We then sat down in the terminal, listened to a band and waited for our shuttle number to be called. We were on the ship by12:15. We loved the junior suite Dogg- Thanks for the reply. Hope it goes as smooth for us. Did you like the Voyager? Any "don't misses" in your mind?
Robinob Posted August 25, 2004 #27 Share Posted August 25, 2004 VOS was wonderful. Even though it is a large ship, you don't feel overwhelmed. Take a walk through the entire ship. You will be amazed. there is so much to do and see. Don't miss anything!!!!!
joeyddog Posted August 25, 2004 #28 Share Posted August 25, 2004 We loved the Cruiz Comics who warmed up the audience before each show- get there at least 20 minutes before to catch their act. They also performed on the Promenade. They were hysterical! The game shows(Marriage game, Battle of the Sexes and Quest) were all great fun.The Ice Show is amazing, make sure you get on line early so you get the show night you want(hint: bring the schedule in the Daily Compass which shows what shows are each night, there might be a night you'd prefer the Ice Show over the Headliner show and it's hard to remember when you have to make a split second decision while on line).
