Balcony question on Carribean Princess

I've read the balconies on Carib deck are the preferred ones - half open and half covered, and larger to boot! We were on Dolphin - entire deck = mini-suites, but totally open and balcony not as large as on Carib. However, the mini-suites are great.

teach4s,

We loved our Caribe balcony and spent a great deal of time there.

They measure about 9x9 and are half covered and half uncovered.

If you want privacy all you have to do is move the chairs - you'll find two regular chairs, two reclining chairs, a dining table and cocktail table - back under the overhang from Baja deck. It also provides some shade.

Enjoy!

Yay,

I'm so excited about the information! We got upgraded from a BC to a BB today and are now on the Caribe deck cabin C719. The larger deck sounds wonderful!:)

Thanks,

Laura

Hi Laura,

I know your Caribean Princess Cruise was back in 04.

My wife are going to stay in that very same cabin in a July cruise.

I was just wondering.

Was there a lot of engine nosie in the back ?

Also, how was the motion ? I tend to get a little sea sick at times!

Many thanks in advance !

Angel

You will love your Caribe deck balcony. Our balcony had two regular chairs, 2 loungers and a good sized table. I don't remember also having a cocktail table. It was great to get a little sun but also be able to sit in the shade when you want to. The shaded part is very private and can't be viewed by any other balcony. The open part can be seen from farther up. We found the balconies to be strangely quiet most of the time. The only time a lot of people were out was at sailaway.
