Bojangles Posted July 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2007 We will be on a smaller ship the oceania and I am wondering if the water is pretty rough in the Baltics. I am a little worried about getting sea sick. We will be going in July of 2008. Thank you
jstducky Posted July 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2007 Of my 10 cruises, this was the smoothest ride yet. There was hardly any motion in the ocean at all. The majority of the time it was perfectly flat. The only day we saw any hint of white caps was in Visby, Sweden where we tendered and also a little bit in sailing from Visby to Warnemunde, Germany. Other than that, it was clear sailing all the way.
exarche02 Posted July 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2007 We just got back and I would have to say overall it was pretty smooth. They canceled our tendering into Visby due to rough weather, so we did see white caps that day. Also, on the last sea day crossing the North Sea there was definately some rocking going on. Many people did feel ill and I noticed they had placed the motion sickness bags on all the stairs. However, on the way out the North Sea was very calm. I think its all just chance.
