Not sure if this was the OP's original concern. But there is certainly a difference in taste between the 3.2% version and the higher alcohol content versions. I don't even like beer and I can detect the difference. It truly tastes watered down.

Yes, it is a little wierd in some states. Back home in Wisconsin you can buy anything anywhere. Full liquor departments in the corner stores and gas stations.
