suzy5565 Posted July 19, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2007 I already booked rental cars through Thrifty for three islands, and didn't join the blue chip club until AFTERWARDS. Will I still be able to be a "Blue Chip Member"? Thanks for your help...:)
Bucky3 Posted July 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2007 I think you will. You might try pulling up your reservation online and see what it says.
wmbjr Posted July 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2007 Just use the online reservations system to pull up your current reservations (I think one of the tabs on the page is review or change reservations) and add the blue chip number you received to the page. I already made one of my reservations before joining and then added it without a problem. They had me as blue chip and all paperwork already completed when I got there. Crusinman29 Posted July 19, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2007 Should be able to just go back and add all older reservations to the Blue Chips. I know with Dollar you had to call to have the reservation added. Either way, I am sure it is doable and well worth the effort.

klugh Posted July 20, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2007 When I went to pick up my car in Kauai I thought my car was reserved with Blue Chip but wasn't. I showed my Blue Chip card and had no problem. The attendent said no problem and I was off within 10 min. of stepping up to the counter. I had the best service on every Island. Blue Chip is the way to go. kenbaileys Posted July 20, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2007 Will Thrifty pick you up at the ship at Hilo and on Maui? Thanks.
beachchick Posted July 21, 2007 #8 Share Posted July 21, 2007 Will Thrifty pick you up at the ship at Hilo and on Maui? Thanks. Yes, they will at all the ports. Most of the rental car companies will shuttle to/from the port. Exceptions: The Kona airport because it's a fair drive and some companies won't shuttle to the pier; Dollar and Thrifty have a small cruise-pax-only setup at the King Kamehameha Hotel across the street from the tender pier and Enterprise has a location in Kona about a mile (?) from the tender pier. Honolulu, most companies (except Thrifty) will only shuttle from the pier to their downtown locations, not to the airport. Thrifty shuttles to both locations. Do be aware that in many cases the shuttle drivers have lists of pax with reservations and will only take those pax on the shuttles. beachchick
