Skagway Excursion Help

We are on HAL Cruise tour #10. As part of that tour it includes the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad. It departs Fraser at 11:20 AM and takes about 1 3/4 hour ride to Skagway at which point you need to wait until the train is cleared by customs. Our travel documents say that we are escorted to the ship for embarkation.

We have booked an excursion Haines Wildlife River Adventure a 61/4 hour excursion which departs at 1:30 PM?

How is it possible to fit that in? Has anyone done this?

Am Ibetter off booking an excursion that begine a little later, say one that begins at 2:45??

Thanks

You can make this departure time, how ever not much time for lunch.

The departure time for Fraser is 10:30am arriving in Skagway about 12:00 pm then you have to clear customs.

There is no way you can make that tour, as it departs from Haines, not Skagway. Unless, of course, the 1:30 time is for a Skagway-Haines transfer, in which case you'd be okay, as clearing Customs only takes 15 minutes.

I spoke with a HAL Excursion representative. She assured me that we would have time to make that tour. i believe that the 1:30 departure time is from the ship dock. She indicasted that we would be at the ship around 12:30 and would need only 15 minutes to get our luggage on-board? Seems ofly tight timing to me, although if I'm purchasing the tour through HAL than I assume they know the timing and would not offer the excursion unless it will work timewise. That said it doesn't seem to leave a lot of time to get on-board let alone go to the bathroom.lol

Has anyone taken this excursion from Skagway?
