Cruise ? for Budget Queen and others

I have been reading a lot of your reviews and others reviews on cruising. From your posts I gather you believe HAL is the best choice. Could you expound on that please. At the moment I am deciding between HAL and Princess. The ships for the HAL trip (Glacier Bay Discovery) I am considering do not have the best reviews. I read about plumbing and odor issues. Since I have asthma, odors can be a real problem for me. The ship I would be taking if I went on the Princess Trip I am considering has great reviews. (Coral Princess). So, I feel quite in a quandry here. Not sure which is the better option for me. So, what is it about HAL that you think sets it ahead of the rest for Alaska cruises? Thanks.
