Aer Lingus to Rome?

I need a one way to Rome from JFK. Aer Lingus seems to offer the best price via Dublin. Is anyone familiar with Aer Lingus....planes, service, reliability, etc?

Another choice is simply to get a R/T to Rome on another carrier or using my FF miles and then use the return ticket on a subsequent TA. Any advice would really be appreciated.

I have already tried Kayak and BT-store for the one way to FCO. Most often it only leads me to another consolidator like airfare.com rather than directly to an airline site. Aer Lingus is the only exception. I can book my one way directly on their site....Not that certain I want to book through a consolidator because of all the restrictions.

Thanks,

Marty

Aer Lingus is a good airline.

I have used them several years, one way after my transatlantic.

Good prices for oneway .

I fly from Amsterdam-Dublin- Los Angeles.

Luguage goes right to final destination.

The best part is that you go thru American Custom Agents in Dublin.

Once you get to the USA no more checks.

Like flying interstates.
