Taking Alchool in Carry on

We were on the Valor out of Miami last year, and got a couple bottles of vodka at the local liquor store, rolled them up in clothes and placed them in 2 different suitcases that we 'checked on' and had NO problems.

 

We also had a collapsible cooler that our room steward kept iced up daily...having your alcohol out in your room is also NO problem... :D

I'm one of the anti-smuggler types but remember your room steward lives on tips. He is unlikely to PO the people that will tip him at the end of the cruise. He will be Boozeblind.:D

When we went out of Port Canaveral on the Sensation in May, for the 1st time we packed a six pack of beer in our carry-on, My Kahula was in diet coke bottles. Went right thru security without any difficulty.

 

How is security in Ft. Lauderdale- Sept will be our 1st time sailing out of there.
