Leaving one cruise starting another in Port Everglades

Hi:

I wonder if anyone has any experience getting off a ship in Port Everglades and getting to another berth for the start of another cruise? We will be going on the Celebrity Millenium on Jan.13 returning Jan. 20 and going on the Carribean Princess the same day --sort of back to back...but different cruiselines...how can you get from Celebrity's berth to Princess with your luggage?

Thanks:)

Port Everglades is a big port with many berths. Chances are it will be too far to walk unless you are lucky. last time i was there in March, Princess had 2 ships in and they were at the front of the harbour. Probably will need a taxi but i wouldn't tell him where you are going buntil the bags are in the cab. You might be able to use the car rental common shuttle bus if they are going to Princess after Celebrity.

We've done back to back cruises out of Port Everglades. You might consider renting a car and exploring the area, going shopping, etc. If you do get off the first ship and go immediately to the second ship, you will be just sitting around until boarding is started. That could be several hours.:)
