Newport Tendering where do you end up

When you tender at Newport, where do you land, and are there taxi's or busses nearby to take you soemwhere if you want to just go shopping or something other than a tour? I would like to google a map of the port area and need to know where to start from.

What Newport are you tendering from. I only know of Newports in NC and VA.There should be a pier to tender to. Cabs and tour vendors will be waiting for you when the tender gets there. Often there will be a booth for info. If we know where Newport is, we can be of more help!

You will tender right in the heart of town near the Yachting Center. Great food and shops within walking distance. Ifyou belong to the Elks, there is an awesome lodge also within walking distance. It is the original Naval War College from the 1800's.

I think the ship anchors in the Bay or near the Newport Harbour, but wonder where the tenders dock.
