oldhamlass Posted August 27, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2007 HI My dh is diabetic so needs a fridge to store insulin. We are cruising on the Triumph in January, we have a balcony cabin. This is our first carnival cruise and on our previous cruises we have always had a fridge in our stateroom but I don't think we have one in this. Does anyone have any advice regarding refridgeration of medication, will they provide facilities, will we have to ask in advance or would we just ask our cabin steward? Thanks Sarah
IwannaGo Now Posted August 27, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2007 Yes, they will provide a fridge, but may charge a small fee (around $15 maybe?). It would be a good idea to call so that you will have one in the room when you get there.
fireboat Posted August 27, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2007 Contact the cruise line. It seems like they handled every medical situation. At the very least, the medical center should be able to help. I know they supplied a sharps container for our cabin.
LornaT Posted August 27, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2007 Call Carnival's Guest Services at 1-800-438-6744 x70025, they will e-mail or fax you a form to fill out about the Diabetes, on the form you can request a refrigerator and a sharps diposal container. Likely during the first nights dinner in the dining room the assistant Maitre 'D will come by and ask if there are any special diet requirements you'd like met or provided.
