guntheros Posted August 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2007 Anyone ever stayed at the El canario by the sea or by the lagoon? Any recommendations between the 2? They are about $90 a night, so it's much better than others I've seen. Thanks in advance
Journey21 Posted August 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2007 Nicole, I just booked the El Canrio by the Lagoon for April 08. The El Canario by the Sea was booked for the dates we wanted. I read some decent reviews on Trip Advisor. We needed 2 rooms and I figured for 1 night we will deal! Someone from our roll call stayed the The El Canrio B&B last year and is staying there again for our cruise in April so I figure if they are repeating the same place it can't be to bad. Good Luck in planning.
letsgoplaces Posted September 4, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2007 Hi we stayed at El Canario by the Lagoon 3 years ago and are staying there for 3 nights in December of this year. What we really liked about the place was how close it is to the beach. It's one block from a gorgeous beach and a main street with great places to eat and shop. We caught the bus a block away and for .75 took the 5 minute ride to old San Juan. The location of this hotel is fantastic. As far as the place itself it was clean but very basic. We had two double beds and a small bath. There is a small breakfast of pastries and fruit which was perfect and always clean towels and the help seemed friendly enough. There isn't a pool etc but like I said the beach is around the corner. For the price and location this place can't be beat.
Journey21 Posted September 8, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2007 Thanks for the reply...it is always comforting to hear past guest reviews. Can you please give an update after your 3 day stay in December?
