Fisherman's Rock Swim & Snorkel

Hi,

We did this excursion in May 2007. It was not the best snorkel excursion I have gone on but it was one of the better ones.

First we took a bus over to the dock. It wasn't too long of a drive. The Boat was really packed full of people, there were a few people that were a bit uncomfortable with that, no real room to move.

We then took the boat out to the snorkel site. We were close to some rocks out in the ocean. There was a fairly large area to swim around in so it was not too crowded. I did end up getting kicked a few times though trying to get to the areas where people were seeing interesting things.

There was a ton of fish. It was one of the areas where it is sand in between and then kind of coral or rock disbursed across the bottom and some really large pieces. The guide also pulled a lobster out from under one of the rocks and was able to get a eel to come out. It was very neat.

Some people that were quite a ways from where I was swimming said they saw a ray.

All in all it was a good experience, and I love to show off the pictures of the lobster (which was huge) and the eel.

Sue
