sept07cruiser Posted August 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2007 For our cruise in Sept on The Wonder, our family will be arriving at Port Canaveral in our rental car........so we will have all our luggage with us. I am a bit curious if anyone has ever done this and if it worked out OK. Does anyone know if they can store our Britax carseat, backless booster seat, and smallish stroller somewhere in a cargo hold so they don't have to take up space in our stateroom? Do I have to arrange it beforehand? Also, for disembarking, do they offer breakfast on that day? So we can ideally have everything packed, eat, go back to the room and grab it and walk off the ship? Is there a certain time we have to be out of our rooms? Thanks for any input.
eh2zed Posted August 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2007 When we have had grandchildren go along we have always been able to store the car seat and booster in the bottom of the closet. The stroller we kept in the cabin since it was used regularly. However, your cabin steward likely can find a place for the not used items if you wish. As for breakfast yes there is breakfast on disembarkation day after which you can return to your cabin and wait to disembark.
miamigirl814 Posted August 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2007 You have to be out of your room by 9am on disembarkation day. They had a sit down breakfast at an assigned time (ours was 6:45, since we had early dinner seating), however we chose to eat at the Beach Blanket buffet (open until 8:30) and then disembarked around 9am, after going back to our room to get our stuff. MBprincess Posted August 29, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2007 They don't really have room to store things for you.
California4Me4Ever Posted August 30, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 30, 2007 It may just be easier to pay the additional fee to rent the car seats along with the car! Those Britax seats will eat up a lot of room in the cabin! If you were hoping to also use it on the plane you may want to look into a second, smaller car seat. I guess it would depend on the age of your child. Or if you are staying at a hotel pre/post cruise see if they will store them for you. Good luck!
