Repositioning Cruise on Pearl

Recommended Posts

We just booked September repositioning cruise on the Pearl from Vancouver to Los Angeles. We've never done a repo cruise - any differences from a regular route?

And, our only experience with NCL has been the POA in Hawaii. The Pearl looks like a nice ship but how does it compare with HAL ships or Princess?

Thanks in advance!

We were on the Pearl inaugural and it was great. Compared to any HAL or Princess ships which we have cruised with, I would just say the Pearl was more fun.

We loved Cagneys and Le Bistro. The other regular dining room food was fine. The cabins were clean and everything worked. The crew were international and you can't go wrong with that. Friendly and hard working.

Our Meet & Mingle is set for Tuesday the 25th.

We did a repo from San Diego up to Vancouver on RCCL and it was very peaceful. We enjoyed cruising for the sake of being on a ship and not for the ports like we do when we go to the Caribbean or Mexico. Looking forward to heading down on a repo this time. West coast repos may become a regular thing for us since we only need one way airfare and doesnt take quite as much planning for us.

We love the repo cruises. 5 out of the 6 cruises we've been on were repo cruises! The prices are great, and even the crew are excited about the itinerary. All season the go out and come back to the same ports over and over and now they have a change of routine and most take turns leaving the ship. We've found an older crowd than most cruises and not many children.

The Pearl is the only new ship we've been on and it was beautiful with lots to do. I watched the bowling and never did get up high enough to see the wall.
